7/23/2008 - Lorin Tannock wins internship at Independent Consulting Solutions. It was during the 10th Annual BIBA (Bermuda International Business Association) College Student Networking event on Friday 11th July, that Lorin Tannock won an internship with ICS for next summer, 2009. Mr. Tannock proved to be an outgoing, career focused and very professional candidate which were the main criteria to his award. Bermuda born Mr. Tannock attended the Saltus Grammar School from 7th grade up until graduating from the Saltus Graduate Year Program. This fall Mr. Tannock is joining the University of Ontario Institute of Technology in Oshawa.
Mr. Tannock says “I am very excited about this opportunity that I have been awarded and I wish to gain first hand experience in the Information Technology market in Bermuda. In addition to real-life training along with innovated solutions, this internship will provide me with an advantage for my University studies and an insight to the level of expertise required to compete in Bermuda.”
In the future Mr. Tannock is aiming to work in a local business that implements and maintains networks and IT programs, and who require a great connection with their customers. He plans to obtain knowledge in all aspects of this growing field and thus become a major threat to competitors on the island.
